چکیده
Context. Galaxy imaging surveys observe a vast number of objects, which are ultimately affected by the instrument’s point spread function (PSF). It is weak lensing missions in particular that aimed at measuring shape galaxies and PSF effects represent an significant source systematic errors must be handled appropriately. This requires high level accuracy modelling stage as well estimation galaxy positions. Aims. The goal this work to estimate positions, also referred non-parametric starts from set noisy star image observations distributed over focal plane. To accomplish this, we need our model precisely capture field variations view then recover chosen Methods. In paper, propose new method, coined Multi-CCD (MCCD) modelling, simultaneously creates entirety allows us global local features through use two complementary models enforce different spatial constraints. Most existing build one per charge-coupled device, can lead difficulties capturing ellipticity patterns. Results. We first tested method on realistic simulated dataset, comparing it with state-of-the-art methods (PSFEx RCA) finding outperforms both them. Then contrasted approach PSFEx based real data Canada-France Imaging Survey, uses Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope. show less achieves ∼22% gain pixel’s root mean square error respect . The Stis Ccd Cross-dispersion Point Spread Function
This report to outlines the work done by the Eta Carinae HST Treasury Project to determine the properties of the cross-dispersion point spread function for the HST Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (STIS) CCD. In this document we will refer to the cross-dispersion point spread function by the abbreviation: XSF. The goal of this work is to give a model for the STIS/CCD XSF which can be calcul...
متن کاملEffects of point-spread function on calibration and radiometric accuracy of CCD camera.
The point-spread function (PSF) of a camera can seriously affect the accuracy of radiometric calibration and measurement. We found that the PSF can produce a 3.7% difference between the apparent measured radiance of two plaques of different sizes with the same illumination. This difference can be removed by deconvolution with the measured PSF. To determine the PSF, many images of a collimated b...

Objective(s): The present study was conducted to examine whether the standardized uptake value (SUV) may be affected by the spatial position of a lesion in the radial direction on positron emission tomography (PET) images, obtained via two methods based on time-of-flight (TOF) reconstruction and point spread function (PSF). Methods: A cylinder phantom with the sphere (30mm diameter), located in...

متن کاملModelling of Infrared emission from Cyg X-3 and the UKIRT IRCAM3 point spread function
Modelling of the point spread function of the UKIRT IRCAM3 array was conducted in order to test for any extended emission around the X-ray binary Cyg X-3. We found that the point spread function cannot be represented by a simple Gaussian, but modelling of the stars required additional functions, namely Lorentzian and exponential components. After modelling for the PSF, we found that Cyg X-3 cou...
